Our Services

  • Our supervisors create a reflective, exploratory space, integrating a trauma-informed approach. We incorporate various evidence-based theories, being culturally aware, and focus on establishing effective and trusted therapeutic relationships.

Supervision ensures the learning needs of the clinician are met, whilst also allowing space to delve into moment-by-moment interactional patterns that unfold in the therapy process. They assist clinicians in understanding the world of new or expectant parents and infants, including their experiences of loss, infertility and trauma.

Supervision allows perinatal professionals to enrich their work with parents and infants, whilst also supporting professional and personal development as a perinatal therapist. The aim is to ensure the best possible clinical impact for our client base.

Each supervisor brings their areas of expertise, as outlined in their individual profiles.

  • For Professionals:

The team at Perinatal People is committed to offering perinatal-focused training and education to all Allied Health professionals. Staying up-to-date with the latest psychological research, methods, and the art of therapy is essential in this field. Continuous education enhances clinical skills, ensures ethical and effective treatment and provides vital support for clinicians, protecting against compassion fatigue or burnout.

Our training offering enables therapists, and other professionals working with new and expectant families, to provide the most relevant, ethical, and evidence-based interventions, leading to better outcomes for clients and communities. It helps perinatal professionals stay adaptable in an evolving area of work, ultimately improving their practice and the lives of the families and individuals they serve.

    For the Community:

Perinatal People is dedicated to providing support and educational opportunities for individuals, groups, and businesses interested in learning about the perinatal period (before and after birth).

We offer webinars, in-person or telehealth sessions on perinatal mental well-being, and a variety of resources available both on request and in our website’s resource section.
